My experience writing a blog

Hi again, today I´m going to talk about my experience writing this blog. In general I've liked writing here because it feels like a more dynamic and unconventional way of learning and practicing our english skills. I think that my english skills have improved significantly through this blog because I had to find ways to express myself, sometimes I didn’t know how to write some things so I searched specific words for it and it was helpful since I had to understand the meaning of the words so I could use them. In the future I would like to talk about my pets, since I have 2 cats, one male and one female, Tom and Nala respectively, they have lived with me since I came to Santiago and I couldn’t live without them. Other things I would like to write in my blog would be controversial topics that occur in the present, things like if education should be for everyone or abortion, I think it’s necessary to discuss those things because if we don’t do it, as a society we will never progress to what is fair and what should be done. It has been a great experience writing and I hope to write again soon. Bye!

Writing about a webpage

Hi again, this time I’m going to talk about a website that I use to study: teoria.com. This page it’s closely linked with my career and studies in general because I study music theory. It’s very usefully for my studies because it helps me to practice things like intervals, chords, scales, rhythmic and rhythmic/melodic dictations. I constantly use this website to study, at least once a week. The webpage provides many tools like ear training exercises, music theory tutorials, articles and music theory references, but I usually use the section ear training exercises. In this section there are exercises like notes identification, intervals identification, chords, scales and melodies identification; and besides, in each section you can choose the difficult level and specific thing that you want to practice, like just major scales, just simple rhythms or the melodic complexity, the clef and the tempo. I really like this site because it helps me to train my ear and it’s very interesting to know my musical level in this area. I enjoy visiting this site weekly and I want to invite you to use this site too. Until next time!

Latin American composer/musician

Hi guys, today I’m going to talk about Latin-American musicians that I like. I don’t remember another band or composer so I’m going to talk you about Luis Alberto Spinetta. His a singer, guitarist, poet, writer and Argentinian rock composer. He was born in January 23 in 1950, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Spinetta was one of the most important Hispanic American musicians, forming much bands throughout his life. Obviously, his contribution to Latin-American music is all the music that he creates, but also, I want to highlight his song lyrics, because I consider he was a great poet.
He lived in a musical context that influenced his music. In 1956 was the rock boom around the world, but also, in Argentina was a period very influenced by the folklore. In 1964 was the beatles boom and throughout his life Spinetta had another influences.
I like this great musician because I love his music and I think is one of the most important musician throughout my life, especially the band he form named “pescado rabioso”. I hope you like my post and listen to Spinetta and his bands. Bye!

My favorite photography

Hi again, today I’m going to talk about my favorite photograph. Actually, I don’t have one, I just will show you a photograph that I like.
This photo was taken by Tony May in a private pool in Putney (London). It was an order by EMI in the year 1997 to promote their back catalogue. This photography shows six women sitting on the edge of a pool, displaying on their backs the cover of six Pink Floyd's albums, all of them created by the artist Storm Thorgerson and drawing by the body-painter Phyllis Cohen.
I really like this photo because Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands and some of this albums are my favorites. I like the composition of the photo and the music that represent and I think it’s so beautiful to use the woman body to represent music.
Also, this photography reminds me a lot of thing related to school and decisions that I have made to be here now.
To end, the names of each album represented are “Atom heart mother”, “Relics”, “The dark side of the moon”, “Wish you were here”, “The wall” and “Animals” respectively. Bye!

My musical projects

Hi again, today I'm going to talk about my current musical projects and my future musical projects.
This year, I'm working on practicing piano to enter the career of piano interpretation, parallel to the career that I currently study. I've been practicing since this year and it's so important to me because I have always wanted to study piano interpretation. I don't know if I will get any money rewards, but I'm sure that my happiness and satisfaction are enough.
About my future… I’m not very sure what I want to do, but I guess (hope) that I will be playing the piano in another country and teaching what I know about  music and piano interpretation. I want to travel to other countries (I don’t care if it’s alone or not) and keep playing for rest of my life.
I hope to start this other “musical project” around 10 yeas in the future when I end my second career, and I hope to get some money with this jaja (just enough to live in peace).

This second musical project is very very important to me because it's my life project, so I expect that everything will work out and any difficulties that arise I will deal the best that I can.

My favorite piece of technology

Hi again, today I'm going to talk about my favorite piece of technology. To start, I must clear that my favorite piece of technology is an mp3 or anything that is able to play music, but since I don't have one, my favorite piece of technology is a smartphone.
I got my current smartphone last year , I bought it from internet in a pack called "moto lovers"with my boyfriend. I guess everybody knows how to use a smartphone, but I'm going to tell you how my smartphone works; the Motorola Moto G3rd generation. The Moto G3 works like any smartphone, but it's faster than any phone with a similar value. It have a 6.0 android version, 8 GB of internal memory and 32 GB of external memory. I use my smartphone everyday, speceally for listening to music when I'm in the subway going to the university. I really like my phone because is very fast, it almost never stuck and when it falls to the ground never breaks.
If I didn't have my phone, I think it would be more difficult to live in this busy world, because everything today turns arround the technology and the internet.

My expectations

Well, this term is so important and exciting to me because means my returns to the music. For much time, I was lost and didn’t know what to do with my life. I left the school in 2014 and then I started a pre-universitary in 2015. After that, in 2016, I entered to university to study psychology and I didn’t like it so much, so I change to music theory in University of Chile this year.
So, in this term my subjects are so different than the last year, but also are more of my interesting. The class that I like more is musical language, because means something like a challenge to me. The other classes are good too, but have not the same difficult as musical language. Regrettably, I didn’t take any extracurricular subjects, but I wish to do it next term.
To end, I expect this semester be my back in the music study and my returns to the piano. I hope get good marks and pass all my classes, but above all, I hope enjoy this year and start to remember all the things I learned in the school. I hope play the piano a lot and improve in my musical read.
