This photo was taken by Tony May in a private pool in Putney (London). It was an order by EMI in the year 1997 to promote their back catalogue. This photography shows six women sitting on the edge of a pool, displaying on their backs the cover of six Pink Floyd's albums, all of them created by the artist Storm Thorgerson and drawing by the body-painter Phyllis Cohen.
I really like this photo because Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands and some of this albums are my favorites. I like the composition of the photo and the music that represent and I think it’s so beautiful to use the woman body to represent music.
Also, this photography reminds me a lot of thing related to school and decisions that I have made to be here now.
To end, the names of each album represented are “Atom heart mother”, “Relics”, “The dark side of the moon”, “Wish you were here”, “The wall” and “Animals” respectively. Bye!
